Hoptimist

Created in 1968 by furniture designer Gustav Ehrenreich, the Hoptimist was designed very much with the vibrant trends of the late 60’s in mind. The figures were characterized by their bright and positive colours and appealing shape.

The cute and cheerful Hoptimists were produced from 1968 to 1974. Danish designer Lotte Steffensen has long been contemplating the idea of re-launching Gustav Ehrenreich’s world famous Hoptimists from the 1970’s, and it’s in cooperation with his son, Jørn Ehrenreich, that the Hoptimist appears again.
