Megan Marshall - General Manager
Megan joined Great Dane in October 2007. After studying fine arts at VCA Megan gained her extensive retail experience in leading department stores and through running her own business. Passionate about furniture and design, her own 60's inspired home is filled with some of the greats. Megan's favourite designer is Poul Kjaerholm; "Because of his modernity, and the way he placed stainless steel against natural materials such as leather and wood - beautiful." Megan used to enjoy cooking, before Great Dane took up all of her time!
Sarah Reutersward - Melbourne Showroom Manager
Sarah joined Great Dane as our busy Melbourne Showroom Manager in October 2009 from retailer Kikki - K. Sarah has travelled Scandinavia extensively and her passion for all things Scandiavian includes her Swedish husband! Passionate about furniture and design, her own 60's inspired home is filled with her collection of Swedish glassware and ceramics. Sarah's favourite designer is Finn Juhl because of his use of colour but her love of Danish furniture is due to its simplicity, form, function, and most importantly its warmth.
Kate Bielenberg - Sydney Showroom Manager
Kate started at Great Dane in September 2010 and become the Sydney Showroom Manager in March 2011. She comes from a fashion background and is currently studying for her MBA. Kate is currently obsessed with the Finn Juhl Poeten sofa, but as there is always something new in the Great Dane showroom, her favorites are always changing! She enjoys the clean lines and marriage of form and function in Scandinavian design. When not working, Kate enjoys spending time with her husband and their two cocker spaniels.
Byron Reyneke - Workshop Manager
Byron joined the Great Dane team in 2006 and became Manager in 2009. Originally from South Africa, Byron had been involved in technical trades in the past, but never furniture restoration. Much to his delight, he discovered he had found his niche and loves breathing new life into beautiful vintage furniture. His attention to detail & care of the restoration process ensures the furniture is restored to the highest level. Byron's favourite designers are Hans J Wegner, Arne Vodder & H W Klein.
When not busy restoring Great Dane's furniture, Byron loves spending time with his wife and their two little girls and relaxes by spending time pottering in his vegie garden.
